CitizenshipCoach is built to respect your privacy. There are no accounts and no login. We do not maintain a server-side database of users.
Your study progress, settings, wrong-answer list, and test-version choice are stored only on your device (and in your own iCloud/device backups if you use them). We cannot see them.
When you use the paid AI interview, your spoken answer is converted to text using Apple's speech recognition (on your device where supported). To grade your answer by meaning, to write your feedback report, and to produce the officer's spoken voice, the app sends the question text and your answer text to our processing service (a Cloudflare Worker) and to our AI providers (Anthropic and OpenAI). This content is processed to return a result and is not stored by us or linked to your identity. The officer's question audio is cached on your device so it can play instantly and offline.
The microphone and speech recognition are used only while you are practicing the interview, to hear and transcribe your spoken answers. We do not record, store, or upload your audio ourselves; transcription is handled by Apple's speech recognition.
Purchases are handled by Apple. We use RevenueCat to check your subscription status using an anonymous app-user identifier. We never receive your payment details.
The app is intended for adults preparing for naturalization and is not directed to children under 13.
